What is the standard for the galvanized value of light poles?
The standard of the galvanizing value of light poles is mainly based on national standards, international standards and industry specifications. The specific requirements are as follows:   1. National Standard GB/T13912-2002 General environment requirements: The minimum average thickness of the galvanized layer is 55μm, and the minimum local thickness is 45μm. Special environment requirements: In humid, corrosive climates and other environments, the galvanized layer thickness needs to be higher (such as 75μm or more) to extend the service life of the light pole. Old version of the standard (GB/T13912-92) Some manufacturers still use the old version of the standard, requiring the galvanized layer thickness ≥ 75μm and providing a test report.   2. International Standard ISO1461 Specifies the minimum zinc layer thickness corresponding to different steel thicknesses, applicable to the global range. ASTM A123/A123M (American Standard) Clearly defines the technical requirements, test methods and quality assessment standards for hot-dip galvanized layers. 3. Industry and manufacturer standards Road lighting industry specifications The zinc coating thickness may be required to be ≥65μm and must pass the salt spray test (such as no yellow rust in 5% NaCl solution for 96 hours). Special requirements of manufacturers In order to adapt to coastal or salt spray environments, some manufacturers can make the zinc coating thickness reach 85μm or more and the plastic spraying layer thickness ≥80μm. 4. Detection method Coating thickness gauge: measure whether the zinc coating thickness meets the standard. Chemical analysis: detect the uniformity of the zinc coating by X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF) or inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer (ICP-OES). Adhesion test: hammer test, copper sulfate immersion method (6 times without copper hanging), etc., to ensure that the zinc coating is firmly bonded to the substrate. 5. Special scene requirements Highly corrosive environment: such as coastal areas, the zinc coating thickness must be ≥85μm, and the plastic spraying layer (≥100μm) is used to enhance protection. Design life: The galvanized layer must ensure that the lamp pole will not corrode within 30 years, and the sprayed plastic layer must be UV-resistant and weather-resistant.
